Music Gave Me a Voice. Life Gave It Weight.
I was born in North Dakota, but music was part of my life before I could fully understand it. My mother used to say I had been singing since I was in the womb. By three, I was turning anything I could find: a spoon, a hairbrush, whatever was within reach...into a microphone.
At seven, I began singing in church. By twelve, I was traveling to perform at churches and youth events with backing tracks. At sixteen, I recorded my first album. At nineteen, I packed up and moved to Nashville to pursue music.
Music was the first place I learned how to use my voice. It gave me a way to connect with people, tell the truth, and express what I could not always explain. That has never changed. I’m still writing, still singing, and currently recording new music.
But my life did not stay inside the music.
At eighteen, I struggled with anorexia. Fitness eventually became part of rebuilding my relationship with my body. Not as punishment. It taught me how to become stronger.
Years later, breast cancer changed my understanding of strength all over again. Strength stopped being an image or a number. It became getting through the next treatment. Standing back up. Learning to trust my body after it had carried me through something brutal.
Those experiences changed the direction of my work.
Today, I’m a singer-songwriter, speaker, strength coach, host of The Danielle Bloom Podcast, and the founder of Rock Star Body. Every part of what I do comes from the same place: helping people build something within themselves that does not collapse when life gets hard.
My music tells the story.
My speaking gives the story a voice.
Rock Star Body turns that message into action.
The podcast goes beyond the surface and into the experiences that shaped the people behind the work.
In 2024, I received Female Rock Vocalist of the Year at the Josie Music Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The recognition meant a great deal to me, but recognition is not why I do this. It is about using everything I have lived through to create something that reaches people.
The goal is not perfection.
It is becoming harder to take down.
Become stronger than what tried to break you.
Become stronger than what tried to break you.
Build strength from the inside out.
Bring this message to your audience.
